I assume your strut covers will still cover up some of that extra steel?

sweet
not even going to bother with the strut covers for the trip. i bought the ghost brackets for use with a stock backrest, which i have not purchased yet. so, i would have to shim them out anyways, as they are made for flat contact, not beveled like the strut covers are. with that, and the fact that i would have to clearance the covers anyway, i am not going to bother. the hitch will be coming off as soon as i get home, so not worth wrecking the covers just for the trip.

Brian...is she wanting to get to Seattle by car or motorcycle?

Any ride will do as long as it's an experienced, safe driver. The alternative is Greyhound from Billings.

I got a note from the Alpine Lodge saying they had an un-electrified cabin available. Unfortunately, I need a plug for plugging in my CPAP at night. (If you know what that is, you know what I mean. If not - it's just a gizmo I need at night to sleep.)

Is there another hotel/motel in town? hotels.com says there's nuttin'.

My saddle is a Young Guns so the p-pad is not the most comfortable thing in the world but heck there is not much to her so if nothing else we bungee her to my tail bag.... I would be very happy to take her to wherever she needs to be.

Go to my picture link and she can see the bike and saddle.
Thanks. I'll pass that on to her. Answered Cary before I saw your post.

There's the Lupine Inn and the Yodeler in red lodge. Check those out.

Thanks.

I called the Alpine and they have a cabin with a plug - they're gonna switch me to it. All is good.

I guess I'll be there.

I'm considering coming up a day early to spend a day in Yellowstone park. That might be interesting.

Good to know. We're going to Yellowstone for a couple of days after Red Lodge to do some sight seeing otherwise she could ride with us.
