well, my bike is slowly coming together. the hitch is finally built and painted, just waiting for the paint to dry. going to install the hitch tomorrow and finish the trailer wiring. then i can mount my saddlebags, windshield, mirrors and new grips. ordered new pegs, but haven't seen them yet so they might be a last minute change. here's a couple pics of the painted hitch.

and a side effect to building the hitch was that i needed to add a rear brake caliper relocation bracket. the bracket dropped the caliper down from the 12 o'clock position to the 6 o'clock position. i love the look of it, just wish i didn't have to buy it right now as it was not cheap. oh well.

Ken
i ended up finding some minor issues with the trailer that i am working to remedy. i didn't like the 10bulbs LED rear lights, so i swapped them out for some with 25 or so bulbs. i am also going to be adding a marker light on each fender, front and rear as the trailer is wider than the bike and i want to be seen. the trailer is built well, but there are some places that need sealant for it to be waterproof. i am working on that right now as well as trying to come up with a way to mount the rear tire underneath. other than those minor things, i think it is good to go.
should be able to take it for a spin tomorrow, but will probably wait until tuesday. i still have to register the thing......

It is all looking good, David. Will that brake relocation bracket create an issue of dragging in the corners? Its hard to tell in the pictures.

LOL !!! Ken, don't think it's going to be an issue. before i ordered the part, i am pretty sure we gave it an eyeball to make sure. don't need to be losing any ground clearance

hi all

Having waited until nearly the last minute I've decided to go for a little ride in another week or so and meet as many of you as I can in Red Lodge. Looking forward to the riding and food and good times.

Cheers, Peter
