Clucking like a chicken can be treated, but if you are laying eggs like one .....

3 more days of work and one i will most likely leave early, so 2 1/2
hitch is finally mounted and all wired up. put my windshield and new mirrors on as well, but those will need tweaking once the bike is off the lift and i can rip down the road. only thing left on the bike is grips and the saddlebags and then the trailer needs some wiring and some miscellaneous hardware work. hoping to button everything up tomorrow so i can run it to work on wednesday for a test run. here's a few pics of the hitch all finished.

Can't wait to see it with the bags on. I imagine it will cover up most of the sides of the hitch.

yeah, the trailer is wired with a 4 wire, but i am changing that to a 6 wire so that i was able to hard mount the bike side of the wiring. it also allows for future expansion, such as mounting a power outlet in the trailer. had planned on doing that before the trip, but haven't had time and probably wouldn't need it anyways. and also yes, the ball moves side to side. never used one like that before, but it came with the trailer so i am going to try it out. on the Nomad i used a conventional ball and there was plenty of movement available, i never had an issue. if this works better though, why not.
likewise bro, looking forward to covering some of this stuff up. the bags are pretty friggin big, so that should do the trick for some of it.

Peter, so glad to hear you're joining us!

Alan and I packing up our stuff in Logan and getting ready to leave for Fort Collins on Wednesday morning. We have to get Alan's bike into the shop on Thursday morning and hope they can figure out why it won't start. We allowed a week, so that should be enough time--I hope!

I sure hope it's an easy fix with no hitches! Well, except for David's of course!!

Well, we brought the bikes into the main shop tonight. Tomorrow they get a complete checkout one last time before a major cleaning, wax, and polishing number. Can't wait to get on the road.
