Saturday is out for me now, getting a free running lawn tractor in good condition much needed for my yard (I have to get it of course), have to take the Goldwing to get inspection sticker before bike week, the Ape hangers I ordered might be here tomorrow so that will be a 3 hr project rewiring, install the SS cables and test ride of course.

But if anything changes, I can be at the MA/NH border on 95N at the tourism office at 8am.

That's right around the corner. Sorry to hear about the lay off. It sucks.

No. Unfortunately I won't be able to make this ride. I got stuck working at my second job during the day. Now I'm pretty much booked solid for the rest of the month. The first and second week of July I'll be in PA, bringing l'il frenchy to see sesame street park (Melmo!), then his great grand parents in Johnstown. Did I mention road tripping with the in-laws? Fun.

But the last two weeks of the month I only have to work one job, yay! ...and my wife owes me big time. Let try to get something started for the end of July. Maybe a Newport RI loop. The beaches (and be'otches) are really nice that time of year...

Bret does the EXACT same thing. I'll have ALL the silverware washed and working on the cups, and he'll come into the kitchen with a spoon he found in the living room and toss it into the sink. I know its only a spoon... but dammit! The spoons are washed!! So I'll leave it in the sink for the next time. I just can't do it. I can't wash the damn spoon when its time to wash the cups. And he'll do the same thing with the cups. I'll be washing the cups, and he tosses a bowl in the sink. Argh!!! Out of order!!! It's all out of order!!! And he just laughs, says he loves me, and chuckles his way back into the living room. Argh!!!

But here's one worse... when he decided to do the dishes - which is my task since he cooks - I can't be in the kitchen with him. He'll call from the sink and tell me to come talk to him or keep him company while he does the dishes, and sometimes I will. But I can't actually watch him do it. I have to face the living room and keep my eyes occupied, or I'll end up taking the sponge from him. I normally last about 5 minutes before I have to leave the kitchen. Everything is out of order!!! He'll wash a couple knives, then grab a plate... I'm like, "Noooo!!!! Finish the damn knives!!!" Then he'll grab a cup!! Its too much to take, so I leave the room. Just thinking about it now makes me twitch.

LMAO sounds like me when I snap at my wife nooo! leave the damn pans on the stove I'll get to them last!! Her reply does it matter? Um yeah! LOL That's why I like it when I cook, I can just clean the table and go watch TV and not freak watching her wash the dishes.

bummer Rob, but i understand. yeah, we'll definitely have to make something happen when you aren't so busy. i might have a long weekend ride down to W. VA towards the end of July, but that is still in the early planning stages.

    Hey! I *AM* special... lol

Bret's still at the shop working on his bike...
I cant eat popcorn a 3rd night in a row for supper, and we're outta bread, milk, and almost everything. So when my son came home from school, saw that Bret wasnt home again, he sighed and turned to me and said, "Momma, is Bret not coming home to cook supper again?"
I said yeah, and he said, "I'm gonna starve."
I said, "You're not gonna starve. I'll cook us something..."
And the look on his face was priceless, and only as an 8 year old can, he gave me a look of disbelief, and said, "But Ma, you can't cook anything..."

He continued on with a lecture, listing off things I've burned on the past, how many times the smoke alarms have gone off in my attempts, and why I needed a good job so we could eat out at restaurants every night like we used to before moving to Maine... [sigh] Only my son... lol

I got defensive. "I can handle cooking SOME things."
Again, I got that skeptical look, and he said, "Sandwiches and salads arent cooking, Mom."

Determined to prove my son wrong, I searched the cabinets for something fairly easy to make my son for dinner... something I won't burn... something edible for him. And I found a box of pancake mix. Well that can't be too hard, right? I pulled the box down and started reading the directions, and my son says, "Are you READING directions, Ma? Maybe we should call Bret..."

I tossed him a warning look and followed the instructions... a mixing bowl, 1 cup of pancake mix, 2/3 cup of water, mix together with a whisk. That sounded easy enough, except all Bret's measuring cups are not labeled. I studied each one, trying to estimate which one was the full cup and which was the 2/3 cup. All the while, my son was mumbling to himself, and although I couldnt hear what he was saying [I'm deaf in one ear] I did catch Bret's name... where's the friggin' faith???

...ok so the pancakes were a little dry, and ended up being HUGE, taking up the entire size of the large skillet pan... I tried to control how big they got, but they just kept GROWING!! I drenched them in syrup, and they're fine... they're fine... a little dry, but fine otherwise... My son wants to know when Bret will finish fixing his bike.

    Default Cooking instructions for Lee

    1. Purchase 1 or more packages of Oodles of Noodles from the local grocery store (chicken flavor is my personal favorite)
    2. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium size cooking pot.
    3. Place noodles in the boiling water. (just noodles - not the contents of the little package YET)
    4. Look at clock - time the noodles for 3 minutes.
    5. Stir occasionally to break them up, or use tongs to break them up (gently)
    6. At the end of 3 minutes turn off the heat to the stove and add contents of flavor packet to the noodles, stir.
    7. Place in bowls and enjoy.

hey man, i drive a VW and she runs great !

anyways, just got done texting Lee AND Bret, at the same time, geesh. got my tire and wheel off the bike a little while ago. had my buddy weld two 14mm nuts onto a 14mm bolt. that gave me the 22mm outside diameter i needed for my axle. put the breaker bar on and it came loose no problem. gonna try to leave work early tomorrow so i can get the tire put back on, shave and then make my tattoo appointment.

so, Chris, i'll be seeing you and your buddies at the rest stop at 8 on saturday morning. probably not going to leave til 7 since i don't have to stop to meet Rob.
