How much will my gear protect me?

Here's what I wear:

Helmet: Shoei TZ-R (bright orange)
Jacket: (summer) Joe Rocket Ballistic mesh textile (winter) sturdy Leather jacket with armor in all the usual places
Gloves: Joe rocket leather armored gauntlets
Pants: Draggin' jeans (kevlar in knees, hips, and butt). I don't wear pads with them.
Boots: Dr. Martin above ankle boots. They're leather, but not padded much.

About the jacket: My leather jacket feels like a pretty good protective barrier, but after wearing it, my mesh Joe Rocket jacket seems kinda light and puny in comparison. Do these jackets protect the rider much? Here's what I have:



About the pants: I want some abrasion protection, but I'll admit, I'm not really inclined to wear fully armored pants. I hope that won't be too detrimental.

Helmet: I actually don't have my TZ-R yet - it's on the way. I got orange for better visibility (hopefully). I've always worn a bright yellow vest in the past, but I'm thinking about not wearing the vest and letting my new bright orange helmet be my "beacon." I hope that isn't too bad of an idea.

I'd mostly like to hear some input on Joe Rocket mesh textile riding jackets.

Wow, my TZ-R just came in! I'm unboxing now...

I've been using an HJC Full face CS-R1. It's ok, but the wind noise is killing me.
