zipper connection universal?

Hi, I have a Teknic Monsoon jacket, but the pants seem to be hard to find as its an older model. Can I get another teknic pair of pants, or maybe another brand even, and have the zipper connection match? I hate having my jacket ride up, and would hate for the pants to ride down as well!

Most likely no. Modern jackets tend to be supplied with a matching zipper half that can be sewn into a non-matching pair of pants.

They usually match up within brands (i.e. I've got three pieces of Teknic clothing--two jackets, one pair of pants--from different years / model runs and all zip together), but not across brands (neither my MotoGP jacket nor my Fieldsheer pants will zip to any of the Teknic stuff). For the latter, you'll need to get the matching zipper halves sewn in.

UK clothing seems to be more compatible.

Jackets/Trousers come with either/both a short coarse toothed zip at the rear or/and a fine tooth full length zip that fastens completely around the waistband.

The actual zips are pretty much all compatible with all other makes of clothing.
