most jacket and pants items come with padding in key locations for street riding. I think it would be overkill to wear both. It is, however, a personal choice and if you feel more comfortable with it on, then you should do it. I'm not familiar with those products though.
You may also consider the option of buying a 2-piece track suit. I just picked one up from an internet site. The jacket has protection in the shoulders, back, and elbows. It's not as heavy as what you have though, but it's rated for use on a track. I was surprisingly comfortable in it on an 80 degree day, as long as I was moving. The pants were equally as comfortable.

I wear VelocityGear Juggernaut armored shirt under my one or two-piece leathers. Includes back and chest protectors. They also have introduced a set that fits better under leathers.
Motorcycle Body Armor- The SLIMLINE I took the armor out of the upper part of my suits and use this instead. Not as easy to get into, but offers very good protection. See a review on WebBikeWorld: Juggernaut Motorcycle Armor Shirt - webBikeWorld

Wow. That armor looks like overkill. It also looks very uncomfortable and movement restricting- if so that would have an impact on your safety. Is it really as effective as it looks? Would be interested in seeing actual accident report blogs on that. The safest setup I've heard of is through Motoport Kevlar suits with their Quad armor- but what do I know? It doesn't look as scary as yours but has actual test data and crash reports to back-up its safety. But you have to pony up some major $$$$. I don't have it yet. Hopefully before winter.
