Hi, this past weekend I was at the Toronto Spring International Bike show, which had very few bikes, but a whole lot of accesories! I saw a million pairs of pants and chaps! I decided that I would like Chaps for the convenience of just taking them off when I get to work in the morning without having to remove my stinky books and/or going to the bathroom to change. BUT I would like some armor for my knees and shins as part of the chaps. This seems like a logical combination since pants seem to have armor most of the time..but I can't seem to find any armored chaps anywhere, and indeed there were none at the bike show!
If anyone knows of these being sold anywhere I would love to know! |

Armored chaps...kinda seems like making a tank where the gunner sits on the outside.
Sorry, had to play with it.

Yeah...I can't seem to find them anywhere. I think I am just going to get some Nylon armored pants with the zipper up the side of the legs...I just didn't want something that would be a hassle in the mornings to take off

Ive never seen any armored chaps either, but i have seen armored leather overpants.
Icon Automag Leather Motorcycle Overpants :: New Enough, LTD I think textile overpants are a bigger seller because they are more versatile with weather.

Hey Thanks!!! those are perfect! The only reason I was wondering about chaps is because I didnt know they made pants like this with the zippers all the way up!

Not chaps, but Tourmaster Venture Air pants. Zips well above the knee allowing removal without taking off your boots. CE approved knee armor.
Tour Master :: Textile Pants :: Venture Air Pant These are four season pants for me here in the mountains of Tennessee. I recently had a lowside at 45 MPH without armor and suffered nerve damage. Don't go without armor. -Dwain |
