New Gear

I am taking my class coming up here in a week, and I really am looking forward to taking it, and ive been saving some money up to get a used ninja 250 or 500, but besides getting the bike and just riding, im going to want something to keep my rear from getting road rash. Can anyone give me some advice on good gear to get, and about how much a full get-up will cost me? thank in Advance

A-stars has a race-replica one piece riding suit for $2500 on MSS...

tack on the boots, gloves, helmet, replacement knee sliders, etc... and you're looking at $4,000.

Otherwise, decide what you want to wear: helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, pants, raingear--- and what quality and type you're willing to buy. Think, "entry level". Some things can be upgraded too, like waterproof liners for certain jacket brands.

What are essentials? What hurts when you go down above ninja running speed? Then, do your research.

I'd say with Helmet- $120
Jacket- $70
gloves- $30
boots- $70
your looking at ----$290

then, you'll want pants- $80
cold/water gloves- $40
jacket liner- $40
for when the temps drop, and for more protection. Start with the basics, upgrade as you go, and buy sale stuff. A precious moments helmet will still save your life... and it would be cheap, unless precious moments makes pimp graphics for helmets...

Thanks I didnt do so hot on my riding test. I was one point off so I got upset and im going to bhave my dad buy a used 5inja that I found and he is going to let me practice on it andtake the class somewhere else once I actually get my license
