Hey all,
I got (and LOVE) some anti-fog spray for the inside of my full face visor. I read somewhere to apply something to the outside to make the rain bead up. But it did not say what to apply. Don't want to damage the thing. What is good? 6000 miles and LOVING it Thanks! Brian |

I've used Rain-X and it works pretty well, but it seems to stop working after about 30 minutes (maybe because they say you're not supposed to use it on plastic). When riding, if you just tilt your head down a little the majority of the water rolls off, which is the approach I took this past winter.

wax the shield or use 2001 polish. the stuff in the lime green bottle. seems to work really well. make sure you use a NON-abrasive wax, polish, or cloth.
sry to bother ur thread but can someone explain to me exactly how to post new threads? |

I never noticed the far right section. duh! thanks for the help.
Anyway.....i keep experimenting with different things on rain resistance, when i find what i think is the best, i will be sure to post it here. for now it's just a non-abrasive wax. |

I actually had bought a bottle of rain-x a while back. Went to Autozone, asked the guy behind the counter as it did not mention plastic, he said he uses it all the time. Then before I tried it, I asked the cycle shop lady and she said "don't, it may cloud the visor", so I never cracked the seal. OK. I will stop being so afraid and experiment a little
Thanks all! Brian |

RainX has denatured alcohol in it, and will make your polycarbonate visor go "cloudy" over time.
