SO, I've come to the conclusion that these helmets fit me equally well, but I'm unable to road test them for further research. The shoei RF-1000 is about $80 cheaper than the Arai Vector, but I've never seen a bad Arai review...hmm... your thoughts?
I'm buying local, and there is a great store that carries the Shoei. A sketchy business (that lies) carries the Arai Vector... this may be a factor in my purchase also. |

I've been extremely happy with my RF1000...absolutely love it, in fact.
I also had never seen a bad review on an Arai, but the Shoei fit me better. I don't really think you can go wrong. Pick what you want. |

So I went ahead and talked down the guy at my local cycle shop. He was a liar, so I made sure that he didn't make much offa me. $410 for a new arai quantum 2 helmet. I'm very pleased, and it fits like a dream.
