thinking bout getting one of these...any exprience? pros , cons?truthfully never worn a helmet but think i should

I like the brand.

I would try one on for sure, different helmets fit different ways. There are pages on the net on helmet fitting, and I like webbikeworld.com.

I personally like it like I like my shoes: snug and just right out of the box, with enough room for everything.

I bought one last fall mainly for cold weather riding and it is nice. Really like the built in shaded visor. But I've not worn it since the weather has warmed up. Mine is the modular one. I know I should be wearing it for safety reasons but the my half-helmet and my open-face helmet get 98% of my use. I may take it on my mountain trip next week it case it rains.

cool...is the internal shade seem to be dark enough?

Update on the SVS helmet... I took it on my mountain trip the end of July and wore it every day due to the fact that it rained every day! Will confess that I really began to like this helmet. The solar screen was plenty adequate when the sun was out and it really worked well in the rain. I was surprised at how quickly I began to like this helmet. It was extremely comfortable and with all the rain and mountain roads it did make me feel a little more protected. I wore my half-helmet for a couple of hours on the way up and didn't wear it any more on the trip. I'll still just use it mainly in cooler weather and on extended trips but I'm completely satisfied with this helmet.
