Yeah, I had similar frustrations. Went to every bike store in the area, and no one carried a decent variety of gloves, much less gauntlets. i finally ended up ordering a pair from MotorcycleSuperstore. Took a couple of days of casual browsing to find "the pair." The description said that sizes ran small, so order 2 sizes larger than you wear. And, luckily, it worked! I am quite happy with them.
DO a little research, place an order, roll the dice. Most places will exchange them if you get the size wrong. True, you will be out some shipping and some time, but at least your ideal product is out there! |

I've bought three sets of gloves on-line (out of my 5). Best thing to do online is PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIZE CHART...particularly how they want you to measure. The only gloves I'm not 100% happy with are my heated gloves...they're a pain to use and the shield wiper is stiff and right at the bend of the thumb
The fit, however, is great on all of them.Other than that, you've just got to find somewhere that stocks a bunch. For me, that required a trip to StL or Jeff City. |

We have a giant military surplus store here. Not the junk type of stuff but actual military surplus. If you've been in the military, you can tell from language on the sewn-in tags. The best gloves I own came from there. Leather gauntlets with wrist straps and removable cotton/wool liners were $32. They work for me down to about 35*F.

I bought a pair of gloves at Bass Pro yesterday. I wanted a pair of waterproof gloves and found these RedHead Neoprene 13'' Waterfowl Gloves.
I haven't tried them yet but seems like just the ticket. |

That sucks about your local stores. My local dealer has a lot of variety, even if colors are limited on the in stock items - but they can order stuff in pretty quick.
I am looking into getting some summer weight gloves that go higher over my wrists since the ones I have can leave a little gap when my hands are on the grips. I've gotten those little sun strips on a few rides with them. My winter gloves work great, though. |

I have had good luck by sticking to one brand. I have found that all
XL Tourmaster gloves fit me perfectly. Maybe you can try a summer glove in your size and order that brand's winter glove in the same size? Just a thought...it worked for me...but I am a goofy kinda guy.

I saw this and crazy enough today during my second period class, my welding teacher was looking at my welding gloves(like 15 dollar leather guantlets) and said he used the same thing to ride when it got cold. So if you want you can check a hardware/welding store and look at welding guantlets. They work for cold weather, but they arent much for protection other than leather

Find the type of glove you want off the internet, then go to a motorcycle store have them order it. Then if it doesn't fit you can return it order the proper size and avoid the shipping charges. That's what I did and it has worked perfectly everytime
