Default Fix for pants riding up?

Apparently I'm the only person on the internet who has this problem. I wear a pair of Cortech Mod Denims with Wolverine workboots on my Z750S. These pants ride up something fierce! Today I was on the highway and I might as well have been wearing capris - the cuffs of my pants were roughly mid-shin.

I've seen "boot stirrups" advertised here, but they look incredibly goofy.

I'm 6'6" and wear the 34x34 Mod Denims. Could it just be the pants themselves? Should I invest in a set of Joe Rocket overpants or something?

Thanks,

Maybe the gear bicycle riders use would work. Ask around at the bike shops for pants clips or holders.

I'm not nearly as tall as you, but I've found that to prevent the pants rideup problem I have to have pants with the inseam about three inches longer than I wear for the street. Otherwise, this may sound weird, but heavy rubber bands or even short bungee cords near the ankles will help.

I've seen pants with an elastic strap to hooks on the bottom of one side of the pants, it goes under the instep of the boot or shoe and hooks onto the other side of the pant leg. almost like suspenders

A couple guys I work with use the narrower, less dorkey ones and really like them. I just wear pants with 2" extra inseam. Works fine for me tho it does look dorkey walking around with big bunched up circa '83 leg warmer-looking things

I roll them up Fonz style when I get off or do the funky look. For example, at 5'9", I run a 34" inseam on the bike.

At 6'6" , I can see that issue. I have seen alot of gear on Gear - ADVrider that should hook you up.

I'm not sure that anyone carries 37" inseam riding pants... lol. I wish!

THRILLA / rbentnail - do you know the brand which is narrower?

Thanks for all the suggestions!

They may look "goofy" but the straps work. I don't know the brand but I found thinner ones at a local dealer. Shoot, you could probably make them on the cheap as well!

Wife has been cleaning up/reorganising, again, can't find them, or my chaps for that matter.

I'll see if I can find out. A leather shop about an hour away sells them.

I see you live in Mass. Do you have snow gaiters for winter? Have you tried them?

I wear Joe Rocket overpants - the ones with the padding/armor in the hips and knees. But at your height, you might have problems finding some long enough.

I made my own stirrup things. Two battery clips and a roll of round elastic. Wish I could figure out how to upload a picture. Anyway, it works really well while riding. It can look a little funny wearing it while walking around, having the loose elastic dangling from the bottom of your pants. I usually keep a little elastic on the bike in case something brakes.

Been thinking about making a short clip that goes from the front of the pant leg to the laces. Saw something like it in a magazine somewhere.

Of course there are tons of stylish options if you just do a search for motorcycle stirrups.

Half chaps from Lazy Rider. They zip up in the back and also keeps the wind out. I use them until I need full chaps.

Obviously you need at least 2" surgically removed from each femur. I can't imagine why no one has suggested this.
