Angry Don't buy Taiwanese goggles...

After a gnat hit me in the eyeball at 50 mph tonight, I decided to put my goggles on. After a yellowjacket had bounced off my glasses and landed on my gas tank. Hadn't used the goggles with this windshield.

I get back on the road and within a mile, I'm pulling back over. My eyes were on fire. Figured the goggles were dusty from hanging off the sissybar for the last month. Um, NO...I took them off, looked in the mirror, and my face was filthy. Covered with foam chips. Ran my finger across the sealing foam, and it crumbled away in little pellets.

The goggles are maybe 6 months old. Yes, I ride pretty much daily, but still... $41.95 and they last all of 6 months, maybe? If the package says "Made in Taiwan" or China or some other such place, put them back. Your eyes are worth more than that. I'm calling the Triumph dealership in the morning and seeing of they carry good goggles, made in England to TUV equivalent standards. Or German ones. Or anything but cheapy Chi-com junk.

You get what you pay for. I've already showered and my eyes are still burning...
