it's pretty cool. However, it gets sorta bulky with the DVR, battery pack and cables. I went and got a fanny pack to hold all the stuff. The cables are long enough (about 6' of usable cable) so no worries about reaching. Looking like a dork with a fanny pack - priceless. then again, I have a camera hanging off my head - already look dorky. But if I smoke a pipe while I'm doing it that will make up for it.

oh, I also asked if I can bring it along to school this summer. I want to capture a few of my laps so I can see my progress. do something like catch the first and last session for each day. I would expect on the first session to be wobbly and slow. By sunday I will expect to be well on my way to looking like Rossi.

That is smart actually. When I took golf lessons from 1999 - 2000, I had them all taped and worked on, on some system called A-Star that my instructor used lines, colors, and graphics to show what I was doing right and what I was doing wrong. I can see this as a great tool to see if you are leaning enough, braking to early or late in a turn, taking the out when it should be in, etc. I think this is a great tool and will now go through the approval process in my house with my wife LOL.

scratch the AIPTEK - its too fragile. The jack for video in on my broke after 3 uses. I took it back to target and they gave me a full refund. Guess I'm looking for a new DVR. What a PITA

I haven't bought the helmet cam yet. I'm still thinking of getting a gas tank mount and to use a regular digital camera. Those helmet cams are quite expensive. My only concern is that the camera may be exposed to a lot of shock/vibration from the engine and the loud engine noise. Have any of you had experience with these gas tank mount cameras?

That looks like one nice camera and your videos came out well. I think I'm going to order one of those. It also has a mic jack, which will work well for audio.

The ATV video looks fun.

And Tweek was worried about looking like a geek with a fanny pack and camera strapped to his head......

LOL!
Gotta admit... a sportbike would not be my first choice for picking a vehicle in which to hide a computer.

I think I could put a server tower in one of my LeatherLykes

I think between the two, fanny pack or having a computer stuffed under the pillion seat, I would rather have the computer.

Thanks for the info, guys. I think I'll pick up one of these cameras in the spring.
