I picked up a Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 Mesh Jacket for my wife and I.I figured it would be a good summer jacket.I plan on getting a leather one before this Fall.

I wear Scorpion EXO All In Jacket. $400. It is really comfortable. The thermal lining is really warm in the bitter cold. I wore a t-shirt under it while riding in high 30 degree temps. I took the liner out for a 72 degree ride and opened all the vents and it felt like I was riding without a jacket – great ventilation. Armor on the elbows and a back bad. This is a good looking jacket.

I just ordered this Arlen Ness jacket on closeout for $235. I was debating on an Icon or JR and came across this one and just really liked it. I could care less about the name brand but I just really liked the look of this jacket. Hopefully it fits as well as it looks. Of course I have a feeling that even though it has a removable liner, I'll probably be looking to get a cooler jacket. It gets dang hot here in NC!!!

Hey everyone, I decided to just add onto this thread.
The bike is a '91 ninja 600:

The helmet is a Scorpion EXO 400: (I also have the dark tint shield)

Next I'm looking for a jacket, have been for a while. Heat is an issue in STL heat-index can easily get over 100*F.

I've mostly been looking at Mesh and Textile jackets. I've tried on a few Aplinestars, Icon, Scorpion, and TourMaster jackets I haven't found a place that had any of the JoeRocket jackets I was looking for (Rasp, Phoenix 4.0, Reactor 2.0).

As far as shoulders and arm length goes I'm a large, but I haven't found a jacket with enough adjustment to get it snug around the waist (kinda tall skinny build). Do you guys think this will be an annoyance? From pictures it appears that some JoeRocket jackets have a longer velcro strap, but I haven't found one to try on.

A couple jackets I'm really considering right now:
A* T-Stunt 2 Air-Flo This is a comfortable jacket and the mesh panels are thicker than most. Just concerned about the waist. (local dealer said he would sell for $179 though)

Alpinestars T-Stunt 2 Air-Flo Mesh Motorcycle Jacket :: New Enough, LTD

JR (Blaster 3.0 leather and Reactor 2.0(bottom of page 1)...I don't know how either of these would fit on me.
Leather Blaster:
Joe Rocket Blaster 3.0 Leather Motorcycle Jacket :: New Enough, LTD

Scorpion Burnout (I really liked this jacket, but thought it would be to hot)
Scorpion Cool Rod...(I might go look at this one again...didn't really like the feel of the shoulder pads)
Burnout:
Scorpion Burnout Textile Motorcycle Jacket :: New Enough, LTD
CoolRod:
Scorpion Cool Rod Mesh Motorcycle Jacket :: New Enough, LTD
I'm open to any suggestions [I've got a list of 12 jackets right now]...Have to keep the price under $200 cheaper=better for me right now. Sorry this was a long post.

I recently purchased the JR 4.0 Phoenix mesh jacket from NewEnough. I'm 6'1" with broad shoulders and narrow waist. Normally wear a 44 long though sometimes depending on the cut I go with a 46 tall. I also have a JR 6.0 Ballistic jacket, it's a extra large tall a bit snug in the shoulders but fits fine other wise. They were out of the XLT in the Phoenix so I went with the XXL tall. Couldn't pass on the price. It is fine with the liner but could be a bit tighter without. Hope this helps.

I just bought an Interstate Touring Leather Jacket from Motosport at motosport.com. Great company to deal with (I have no connection with them). It uses good leather, has a lining that easily zips out, has good padding, zippers in the right places, and looks great. They ship FREE two-day Fed Ex for orders over $100
