I wear a Fieldsheer leather jacket that has opening zippers in the chest (and removable armour) for warmer weather and Vance Chaps that work great. In the summer I'm back to shirts/vest and have a nylon jacket for the cold mornings. May not be the safest on the planet but sure is comfortable.

Check out this jacket: http://www.motorhelmets.com/htm1/app...road-table.htm
It is a true all-season jacket. For spring and summer it has a mesh lining with chest, sleeve, and back zippered vents. For fall and winter it has a snap in liner including sleeves with velcro attachments at the cuffs instead of the flakey hook and button on some jackets. The collar has snaps so it won't flap in the breeze. |

I also have a Wilson leather jacket in black that I bought 5 years ago( 4 years before I got the bike) with a zip out Thinsulate liner, the coat is very heavy, heaviest leather coat I have ever tried on and very warm, no wind gets through it at all, and it fits the cruiser look. Paid like 130 bucks on sale for it. I got a brown coat from JC Penneys it is not leather but feels like it, My fiance calls it my rubber coat , it actually has PVC in it, it was on sale for like 29.99, looks great, should make a great coat for early summer night and early fall rides.

I wore denim and leather for years, but when I bought the new Triumph, I also got my wife and I Triumph jackets that imitate Joe Rocket. Now I'm riding a Harley, but I will NEVER stop riding with those jackets. If you've never tried one, you seriously owe it to yourself to try one. Plus, according to crash tests, they are even safer then leather because of the dedicated armor(unless you take them out like I did). After a couple of weeks it's like being with a close friend that DON'T weigh you down.

I just received my order from ww.bikerleather.com. Ordered on monday, received on thursday (standard shipping too!). Items were not crash-tested for a variety of reasons
Gloves: Slightly snug for their size, but thats good. I cant stand the feel of loose gloves. The leather is unblemished (no scars, rips, or holes), the stitching is good, and the "gel" in the palms is thicker than in my Harley-Davidson brand gloves of similar design. jacket: I ordered jacket BMJ210, which is a traditional biker jacket (also sometimes called a police jacket). It has a zip-out thinsulate liner, quilted interior (including full arms), side lacing, and a full belt which is removable. It was also advertised as having a "longer back". The back isn't stylistically much longer than my Harley-Davidson jacket, so I'm not sure what its longer than. The hardware is unplated brass. Some people might miss the nickel/chrome plating, but I don't really care. The leather is thick, and didn't have any scars, tears, or holes. The jacket and gloves do however smell like a dead yak. I'm not sure if this is caused by something from shipping, but seriosuly.... I'm gonna need to spray this thing down with automotive 'leather interior' scent. The jacket is designed in the USA and manufactured in Pakistan. All in all these items are a steal at these prices. |

Has anyone tried those buffalo leather jackets? I am looking for a winter leather rider. How cold does everyone really ride in. I just got my bike this summer and I have ridden down to about 40. No windshield, I am old school. I have seen police riding when it was 18! If its not at least above freezing she sits in the garage.
