Default Good Deal Alert - Fieldsheer Ace Touring Boots

On another board (ZRXOA), I learned that a Honda (cough, cough) dealer in Dallas has bought a truckload of these boots and is blowing them out on Ebay for $39.99 + $10 UPS shipping. I understand these run about one US size small, so I ordered a size larger than regular shoes.

Could one of you wonderful people post a picture of said boots on this thread? I can't access ebay from work, and I want to know if they are something I should rush home to order.

Has, anyone got their boots yet? I'm curious as to what you all think of them. I might pick me up a pair.

I got mine in a few days ago. I run between an 11 and a 12 and I ordered the 12s and they fit snug but not too tight. I've only worn them around the house so far, but they seem comfortable enough. They are pretty stiff because of the ankle armor and everything, so I don't know how they'd be for walking around all day. Haven't had a chance to wear them on the bike yet, gonna probably do that tomorrow.

Yeah mine came in Friday. Definitely stiff at first and the size 13 for me just fits, without much room to spare. Would say its smaller than a size 12 shoe by a small margin. Zippers were kind of hard to zip up all the way, the quality of materials look good, and they have armor in key locations (shin, ankle, heel, toe) and rubber over the top of the toes where you would shift. There is a small refective patch on the back of the ankle, but this gets covered up by jeans mostly, so not sure how practical it would be in use. The soles squeak on hardwood floors (if you plan on wearing them off the bike). With the side zip, they were pretty easy on and off, even for bigger feet.

I couldn't see myself wearing these for too long once off the bike. So if you were headed somewhere and staying for awhile, you'd need to bring shoes. Depending on your storage on your bike, this may or may not be acceptable.

All in all, I nabbed these to have a waterproof pair of touring boots for trips where i'll need to deal with weather and normal boots would eventually fail at the task.

Would these work well w/my 2007 ninja 250r? Would I be able to use the shifter well?

Been looking at this particular brand of boot for awhile now first I've seen them this cheap! Just wish there were some way to try them on as my feet are wide (10EE or 10-1/2EE generally depending on maker) Anyone else here have these that have wide feet??

I have flat feet... not sure, I would say mine prob are E. They fit fine, some hangover on the inside (not a ton, it didn't bother me). I always get some hangover on shoes usually. Not sure how much wider EE is though. If your toebox is really wide, you might have probs, these get narrower upfront.

Yeah I rode in mine, they were a bit stiff at first but once I got used to it I liked them overall. They were pretty easy to shift in, but squeak pretty loudly in my house. I'm only going to be wearing these on dedicated rides probably, not to commute to work or school.

I'm not sure I dig the look all that much but its not half bad.

The verdict: are they worth the 50 bucks? Definately.

would I have bought them for 140 dollars? Most likely not, they would have to look a whole lot better for me to have spent that much money on them, but functianality wise they are great.
