I order a pair of gloves about a month ago and still could not get it. They did not reply my emails, what I got was automatic replies giving me ticket numbers.
I have 5 tickets that nobody ever contacted me about. After a lot of attempts to talk to them on the phone they tell me that they did not receive the gloves from the warehouse and that they did not knew when they would receive them. I couldn't get my money back, but they offered me store credit although the gloves that I ordered seem to be available on their web page! Like I am interested in doing business with them any more!!! Please think twice before you shop at RideGear.com!!! |

That's why I always check places out at the Better Buisness Bureau before ordering.
They don't seem to like RideGear, either: San Jose, CA: Check Out a Business or Charity Also, Reseller Ratings has them at a 1.11/10 for the last six months and a 0.71/10 lifetime rating: RideGear Customer Ratings, Reviews and Prices at ResellerRatings |

After reading a bunch of negative reviews, I actually decided to try them out. Used my credit card that had a good dispute policy in place just in case. Go ta set of Teknic Chicane boots fro $93 new and a set of Teknic sliders for $29. I found a 20% off coupon online that I used as well. IT was a gamble but I got everything 2 weeks later. The boots I wouldnt buy again but the for price they are worth it. Quality just isnt there but that is not ridegears fault.
They are a drop ship company, meaning NOTHING is in stock. Everything is ordered from warehouses and if they cant located it there, they order it from the manufacture. That is why everything takes so long. THey dont respond to emails and they are idiots on the phone. If you are not in a hurry to receive something and can put up with the BS, you can get a good deal. |

I also had a bad experience at ridegear.
I ordered a helmet, jacket, and 2 sets of gloves, easy order right? I get my stuff in the mail, but theres no jacket. I call them up and they said theyre out, yet they still billed my card for it. So im ****ed at this point, I tell them I want another jacket. I pick out something different and theres a 40 dollar price difference. I complain saying that you were charging me for a jacket you didnt send and i want to swap it out for same price that I already paid. She says that she cant do that and it would be selling it under cost for them so I end up paying another 40 dollars to get the other jacket. The story gets better..... A lil while later, I get another package from RideGear, a $500 arai helmet I never ordered and then later get an Email saying theyre system screwed up and if you dont return the merchandise, ull get charged for it. I call and complain again, and it takes them 2 weeks to send a prepaid shipping label where I have to drive to drop it off at UPS. Now the jacket I paid 140 for is now on sale at $99, less than what I was going to pay for it a month earlier. So I will never order from there again and theyre prices arent that great anyways. I just made my first purchase from Newenough.com, well see how it goes with them. -rangerkid |

I've bought two things from New Enough Motorcycle Apparel sells motorcycle jackets, pants and suits, boots, gloves, helmets, etc :: New Enough, LTD this year, a pair of Joe Rocket Alter Ego pants and a Cortech tailbag. Both were shipped quickly and received within three business days of placing my orders. I have no complaints.

I am a very happy repeat customer of newenough.com
They are fast, responsive to questions, excellent prices, low shipping costs... What's not to like? The other thing I like is the honest comments by their staff on the website concerning the various items they sell. Good tips on how sizes run in a particular line of clothing, etc. Shop newenough.com with complete confidence!!! (No, I'm not a shill nor affiliated with them in any way!) Just a very satisfied customer. Don Another place I've had good luck is: Dunlop tire, agv helmets, bridgestone motorcycle tires, avon motorcycle tires, tourmaster (Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse) They also have excellent pricing and I've had no problems with them delivering on time, but their website is a bit of a pain to negotiate. Not set up nearly as nicely as the one for newenough.com

Yes, I had a bad time with them as well. They claimed to have an Icon Tarmac mesh jacket in my size and color that I wanted. This jacket is discontinued from the manufacturer, so I was thrilled when I found it online. That was four weeks ago.
I tried to cancel my order since they hadn't sent me confirmation, and found that you have to call them to cancel orders. When I call the number, it goes to a machine that prompts you to leave a message and they'll get back to you in 2 business days. Except at the end of their recording, it just hangs up on you. You can't leave a message even if you wanted to. I called my credit card company and told them to disallow any charges from Ride Gear. I will never do business with them again, even if it is for something you just can't buy elsewhere. |

Yamaha Motorcycles : Suzuki Motorcycles : Kawasaki Motorcycles : Honda Motorcycles : Metric Bike Cycle News is where i went for all my riding gear needs for both my wife and I. Great customer service, excellent shipping speeds and they don't BS you about an item being on back order. They will also match prices.

I had a great experience with Performance Motorsports, Performance Motorsports - The online source for Cycle Apparel. Holland, MI. 616-494-0103 You can put a best offer on their merchandise. I just bought a Icon Motorhead jacket, which i could not find for under $350. I put an offer of $275 and they accepted. Their response time was fast also. Are there anymore bad places to buy from other than Ridegear?

More from Ridegear.com...
Today I received this unsolicited email, presumably in response to negative feedback I left on resellerratings.com. We recently received your order from Ride Gear. When the order reached us we were unable to process your credit card (just a temporary hold, not an actual charge), which we need to do in order to fulfill the order. Most likely it is something as simple as the billing address not matching what your bank has on file, not an actual decline. We at Cycle Gear pride ourselves on our level of internet security and therefore we use a very state of the art, very detailed address matching system. Please let us know if you re still interested in this order by calling 1-800-CYCLEGEAR and we ll get started on your order right away. If not, just reply to this e-mail and we ll cancel the order immediately. We realize your experience with Ride Gear (a completely separate company not affiliated with us, Cycle Gear) has not been pleasant and as you know we, Cycle Gear, were temporarily contracted to step in and see if we could help get your goods into your hands as quickly as possible. Due to technical difficulties, Ride Gear was not able to pass your order to Cycle Gear as quickly as they would have liked, resulting in the delay you've experienced. Had your order originally been placed with us at Cycle Gear, your experience would certainly have been a pleasant one. We invite you to take a few moments to visit our website, Cycle Gear - Motorcycle Apparel, Parts and Accessories where we ve got a great selection to choose from. I m sure you ll find something that suits your needs. Paul Flores Director of Operations Cycle Gear Direct So basically, Ridegear.com took my personal information (name, address, phone number, credit card number) and gave it to Cycle Gear without my permission rather than calling me and saying, "Hey, we screwed up and can't fill your order." My mind is blown by this. The reason my credit card was declined? I called my credit card company and told them to put a hold on it until this Ridegear nonsense got resolved. Soooo glad I did that. The part in this letter that cracked me up was, "as you know we, Cycle Gear, were temporarily contracted to step in..." Well, actually, I did NOT know that until I got this email. This was even more delicious because it came after the "we take great pride in security" spiel. I ask, sincerely, WTF?!?!

From what I know, Ridegear is attempting to become a drop and ship company. Straight from the warehouse to you without any middle person. Therefore they have no stock what so ever. They created a contract with cyclegear along with a few other companies to help them fulfill orders since this is peak season. They are not selling your information to other companies, they are simply passing on an order which they cannot fulfil, and instead of you waiting 2 months for your item, they can pass on your orders to get them fulfilled in a "shorter" amount of time. Nothing to serious, Goodluck |

I've dealt with Cycle Gear before and was pleased with the service I got from them. I bought a set of saddle bags from them while visiting my parents (my motorcycle wasn't with me, so I couldn't test fit the bags). After I got home, I tried to install them on my cycle, but realized that the bags wouldn't work (turn signals in the way). I ended up taking them back to my local Cycle Gear (at least three hours away from where I got them) and they promptly refunded my money, with no hassles (much to my surprise, they even blew off the fact that the refunded tax rate was higher than the purchased tax rate). Cycle Gear may not be the cheapest place on earth, but as long as I continue to receive service like that, I'll keep them on my list of places to check.

I'm sorry that this took you by surprise. When Cycle Gear received your order from RideGear, you should have received an email stating that we were fulfilling the order. As a 3rd-party fulfillment agent (in this case), we took great pains to encrypt the sensitive personal information and we respect your privacy. Just to clarify Gtso's statement: RideGear has had serious fulfillment issues and we (Cycle Gear) signed a contract to process and ship RideGear orders through July 4th. We don't own them and they don't own us - there's no business relationship at all beyond the now-concluded fulfillment contract. You can find more information in this thread. A major difference is that we (Cycle Gear) stock at least 50% of what we sell in one of our two warehouses, and we occasionally ship from one of our 99 stores. We have a crew checking availability on everything on the site every week. What you see on Cycle Gear - Motorcycle Apparel, Parts and Accessories is our best, most current information, and we can ship it quickly. I hope this helps. I assure you that if you order from Cycle Gear in the future, we'll have the items readily available and you'll have a great experience. Thanks, Brandon Ride Safe! 1-800-CYCLEGEAR Cycle Gear - Motorcycle Apparel, Parts and Accessories
