I'm right there with ya, man. Besides the armored AGV pants one of my (favorite) jackets (I have 5) is the Kawasaki SRS sport vented leather jacket. I love the armor, the magnetic vent flaps, the fit and the pant zip that fits the AGV's.

Bought a set of Under Armour, those and jeans and/or leather pants are good for me, I don't ride if it's under 40 deg F.

I also wear fairly heavy rain pants as chaps over this if the temp is below 50. Keeps me toasty.

I have a pair of heavy overpants that I wear when the temp is below ~35. Right now as the temp is about 40 in the mornings I wear some Tourmaster Sentinal rain pants. They keep the wind out and work great.

Carhart insulated work jeans. a little bit of insulation goes a LONG way. and they are pretty comfortable even when the sun comes out. i wear them a lot on day rides that start and end a little chilly. then the chaps to keep the wind off.
