Default not all women are created equally....

I've realized that all women are not created equally, at least when it comes to buying gear, specifically jackets...for me I was searching high and low for a jacket that
1) matched my bike
2) Wasn't pink
3) actually fit the contour of my body...

I have an athletic frame, 5'7 top heavy and broad shoulders... and finally found a jacket that fit me like a glove, it was a Men's jacket though..I certainly had no problems with it...here's a pic of it below

I also had to by mens gloves (small) b/c of my "man hands" as I affectionately call them...haha (maybe this is for the chick only forum) but any of you ladies run into this problem?

I love my gear but was wondering if any ladies had this problem as well..

Well, fortunately I have been able to fit in women's jackets so far, however, getting the zipper past being a little top heavy with a larger frame can be a challenge I don't think the manufacturers think of that!!!!!

I LOVE your new jacket!!!!

Yup- finding a good fit is a challenge with ladies gear simply b/c there isn't so much to choose from! I myself am on the taller slender side, but I have what I affectionately call monkey arms and a longer torso- while I want a fitted look with a jacket, none of them cover my midriff let alone my wrists!

I think you'll like your new Icon jacket. I've been very pleased w/ my Icon gear and I think it looks great, too!

I have the broad shoulders and the "man" hands, too. Big frame girl, that's me, and I'm not just talking about my 1500.

The boots would be tricky for small size feet! I know they pretty much only stock the standard 6-10s in most of my shops, if you can find even them!

My mom wears a 4 1/2. Me? I got my dad's feet (and so did my sisters; life is SO unfair). I wear a 9 1/2 D or E!!!! Try finding wide shoes. It's impossible. My boots are men's. Thank goodness men have wider feet than women.

I'm not going to tell mine, either. Middle age has NOT been kind to me!

mmm hmmm, most womens jackets look to me like youre trying to feel sexy on a bike. Im trying to feel protected. And frquently womens are too small in the shoulders for me. So i have mans jacket thats kinda poofy around the middle and lil long arms, but since wrists are bound, doesnt matter that much.

Black leather rose jacket still for sale ! Id prefer to see seen.

And then there's menopause. That's what did me in. And now I'm taking Tamoxifen (for the next five years--ugh), which amplifies all the menopause symptoms--including hot flashes and weight gain.

Just kill me now.
