Being hot is better than picking at road rash induced scabs.

But everybody's gotta have a hobby.

But he is right, they are hot. Look on motorcycle closeouts.com and see what they have in decent protection. The pants are vented.

Despite Tina harassing me, she has a good idea. try looking for some vented riding clothes.

Personally, on the cruiser, I find shorts have great ventilation!

Trashman900C, I could be wrong (would only make the third time today that I know of). Reinforced Carharts are pretty durable, however not invincible. Tough to beat thick, tough, or slippery when sliding on pavement, or much of anything else abrasive. For local (slow) riding I only wear reinforced ****ies, and their inexpensive, however thick where it would probably be needed. Tough to beat an Aerostich for protection, especially with the optional hip and back support / pads.

I wear Draggin' Jeans, Cortech Jeans (without the armour), and Steel Jeans. Steel Jeans are the lightest and the ones I typically wear when it's really hot outside. My bet is the Draggin' Jeans provide the best protection.

I"m interested in the chain mail jeans.
But I'd like to see a close up pic before buying.

Glad you haven't had any testing time to prove your theory!

Yeah, buddy. I finally got 7 straight hours of sleep. I get to hang with the left coasters on this schedule.

My wife and I both pony'd up the $$ for Rev'it Solar gloves. perforated leather and some armor. The most comfortable gloves I've ever worn with the best "feel". Ventilation is pretty good for what it is, and I like their stuff so much I bought their winter gloves also.

There is a Harley dealer here in town and I picked up a pair of jeans with kevlar reinforced knees and rear for $65.
These gloves by Tourmaster are super ventilated and cheap!
