Default Fieldsheer Iceberg vest

I'm gonna start a new topic just on this thing, why? Because it more than deserves it.

Tried this particular one the last couple days in 107+ heat and WOWSERS!

Best way I could describe it was it felt like I was riding in 75 degrees.

Had no heat fatigue or anything, man I wish I would have bought this thing before now!

I wore a T shirt underneath, then the vest, then my vented Gericke jacket over it.
The wind that vented through the jacket was cooled by the vest, and I could feel the air circulating (instead of the hot hair dryer) was absolutely cool.

To say I was comfortable would be an understatement. Instead of crouching a hair behind my fairing, I was actually cursing my fairing trying to get MORE direct wind.
This thing is SWEET.

I have a Joe Rocket Sahara vest that works the same way. It's great! I use it when I'm teaching MSF classes, too. It gets might hot out on the range.

I bought a similar one from Cycle Gear, but after soaking it and squeezing out the water, a silky, gooey residue was left over. Has that happened to yours? Does it disappear over time? I'm thinking of taking it back because I don't want slime on my t-shirt!
