Looking at this rain suit and wondering if anybody has any input or experience with it. After being caught in the rain again, I've decided I need to upgrade from my "golf" rain suit. Any input is appreciated...

Sorry, I haven't used First Gear stuff, but here's a review of rainsuits...
Rainsuit Comparison - Accessories & Gear Review - Motorcycle Cruiser We've actually just been using our rubberized rain suits we bought in Hawaii and it rained every day and our only transportation was the rented harley's. They actually work very well around here cause it's always a cold rain so we don't sweat when wearing them. I'd hate to wear them when it's warm though cause they don't breath at all and you'd be wetter from sweat than any rain. |

For two years, I rode using an inexpensive two-piece from Wally World.
It did great-never leaked. The vents did ok as long as I was moving. I believe it cost $30 or less. No reflective tape, etc. though so I eventually went with Tour Master Elite II. |

Invest in something good. Frog Toggs are nice. Tourmaster makes good stuff also. I've been caught in the rain for a couple hours or so before. Both with and without rain gear. A good suit makes it bearable.

For rain / general protection I like (and have) Aerostich gear. Though in a an extended torrential down pour, likely nothing will keep a person dry while riding. At least not in my experience.

I got the Frogg Toggs for father's day. It had rained every other day up until then. Now...no rain and the only summer shower I ran into last weekend didnt last long enough for me to pull over and put the suit on. 20 minutes later...air dried!
I would like to hear if anyone has frogg toggs and how they have performed. At least I know if it starts raining while im here at work that I dont have to ride home soaking wet. |

I don't know about the suit, but I have the pants and love them. Very sturdy with the largest panels of heat resistant panels that I have seen. Have not had any issues with the pants melting on the exhaust or any rain seeping through. I wear them daily in the winter and they have held up well.
A note about Frogg Toggs. I have found that they do not last very well and the seems eventually fail if not the fabric all together. |

Just bought the Frogg Toggs Road toggs for M/C riders. Has reflective piping too. On their site lists for $69 jacket and pants but at ****s Sporting Goods I walked in and they were $49.99 Comes with a little bag to keep them in.
From their site. Reflective "Frogg Eyzz" technology allows for much greater visibility after dark.* "Classic" Waterproof/Breathable frogg toggs, non-woven Polypropylene material * New Raglan sleeve and shoulder design allows for better comfort fit, as well as higher durability * New waterproof taping insures all seams stay completely dry.* New "Frogg Fold" seam design offers increased seams strength without increased weight.* Tuck away, adjustable hood is designed to be worn under helmets as well as alone.* 1" reinforced elastic waist bands, sleeve, and leg openings.* Adjustable Waist cord with cord lock on the pants as well as pass-trough pockets* Extended zippered leg openings can be easily pulled over boot or shoes.* Free "Toad" Stuff & Storage sack is included.
