Default Gear fit, and crash question?

Jackets and pants.
The knee/elbow armor is in the wrong place when standing, but "moves" to the correct location when the rider is in the "riding" position on the bike.

When one crashes, does the "crashee" always maintain the riding position so the armor stays in the correct position to protect from impact, the elbows and knees?

I'm not trying to start anything, but I need help understanding the logic.

If I take a dive off the bike with my arms and legs outstretched, how can the armor protect if it only fits correctly while in the sitting/riding position?

My crash happened in a fraction of a second, i didnt know i was gonna crash, nevertheless get a Superman ready. My old jacket had loose sleeves and it did ride up, to the elbow. My new jacket is adjustable on the arms now, so i can tighten it up to stay in place.

my jacket fits snugly and the armor DOES NOT move around. it stays in place. my pants on the other hand...i took the armor out. i didnt buy them for the armor anyways...i plan to get armor that velcros to my legs instead, like my MX knee guards. thinking about it, they might work for street riding as well. ill have to look into that...

as i was saying, my jacket is snug. my pants arent as snug because they are overpants. i wear them over jeans or khakis. they are quite a bit longer than normal pants though, so it doesnt worry me.

Icon Arc pants and jacket, btw.

I agree with you and have thought that as well. These are a pricey alternative but ive never tried them.
