helmet / bike cameras and mount methods

I have been considering picking up an action camera / helmet camera / bike camera. So far the ones i've seen on the market are:

Oregon Scientific ATC3k Oregon Scientific | U.S. | Product | ATC3K | ATC3K Waterproof Action Cam
(instruction manual Oregon Scientific | U.S.)
Oregon Scientific ATC5k (sched. for release this fall) Oregon Scientific | U.S. | Product | ATC5K | ATC5K Waterproof Action Camera with Onboard LCD Screen
Vholdr (quite expensive!) VholdR
SC-HMX10 / SC-HMX20 HD camcorder

And... while the last one is not really a bike cam, its quite interesting none the less...Hi def, 8gb (~88 min), It has a mount screw hole which one can use with a clamp on bar camera holder hmm... Before getting the vholdr, i'd get this one... its only about 397.00 off amazon. Combined with a quality clamp mount, surely it would do good.

Hmm... Im almost about to buy the ATC3k but im stuck between that or the SC-HMX10. With the SC-HMX10 I could record more than just the road rides with so muhc better quality. But, its one expensive toy to repair/replace should the bike become a tangled wreck. Surely it would not survive as well as the ATC3k would. It would probably require me to sell my DSLR or a lens in exchange. Hmm... hmm...

I think I will just pick up the ATC3k and test it for a few days and then put it up for sell. Yeah that sounds like a good plan for now.

well, i just ordered the Oregon Scientific ATC3k off ebay tonight. I should have it in the next few days. I'll post some sample videos once i get it.
