Honestly, unless it's something like a desert camo, I don't think it really makes a huge difference.

Under certain conditions, nearly any color is going to blend into it's background. Silver is probably one of the worst, and believe it or not, even CHROME will go stealth, because it reflects it's surroundings. It might momentarily grab attention with light glinting off it it... but I once had a model airplane that was finished with a polished aluminum (mylar) skin.
There's a reason that I "had" it. In front of blue sky, the plane looked blue. If it dipped below the horizon, it turned brown/green. Not long after, it turned back into a kit.

Fluorescent orange is the LEAST likely to blend in... but be careful when riding near an orange construction vehicle.

CalTrans is moving away from orange and into what they call "lime", but is actually a fluorescent yellow... they claim studies have shown that the public has become "dumb" to orange and there is a reduced risk of accidents with the yellow.
10 years from now, they'll probably go back to orange.

Hey Rich,
I kinda like the disco ball helmet idea, but wouldn't like other bikers wanting to kick my a$$ for wearing it. I could deal with the laughing...
Still, it would attract attention.
The cagers are, well, just cagers and ya just can't trust them to see you no matter what you wear (or not wear!).

My chrome German novelty lid gets comments from other riders, so I imagine the disco ball would really get 'em tweaked!
