I'm considering buying some for riding.
The chaps I'm using now are great for my legs, but don't do much for the other important areas... Any experiences or opinions? I realize they will be hotter than jeans, though I did my own perforating on the chaps and was comfortable into the high 90's, and may do the same with these. It would seem the over the shoulder straps would help to keep them in place in a slide, and offer a little more back and chest abrasion resistance. |

Just an opinion, but I think you are right. If they are at least the same quality as your chaps are they should provide better protection because they would be covering more areas, including those that should be covered. Put a leather jacket over and you should be set.
