Default paypal and leatherup.com?

anyone having any issues trying to go through paypal and buy something? paypal keeps rejecting it saying it cant authorize the transaction and to check paypal for more info. i have the proper funds. even paypal when i contacted them about this said to keep trying as they say they have seen the(my) attempts, they just don't know why its not working..............was just curious if it was just me. even tried different browsers for the hell of it.

I had it happen once on a credit card when I was close to the limit.

It turned out that the purchase AND the interest charges that would be added the next day would have put it over the limit, so the blocked the purchase.

Check with your bank. Especially if you have made multiple attempts at the same charge (Paypal is crazy to say "keep trying"), your bank may have triggered a fraud alert and locked your account.

That happened to me at a hotel in Houston this year. The jerk behind the counter swipped my card several times and the bank blocked it. Then he did it to my other card. Almost had to turn around and go back the six hours home,

but IMO i dont think my credit union should even be contacted. I have paypal set up to deduct directly from the account itself THEN it will withdraw the funds from my checking account if necessary should i not be able to cover. i also have a credit card on file for backup(premier account). So technically the funds should only come out or my paypal account since i have more than enough to cover this transaction. I will have to call leather up tomorrow and speak with one of them maybe to get this straightened out. im sure i can just send them a payment but i wanted to get to use my coupon code. lol

Oh ya... if you have a balance on the PP account then it shouldn't be a problem. That is VERY strange.

Interesting thing about the backup... when mine failed to go through, I DID have my bank account set as backup funding. I'm assuming that "backup funding" means "if the CC used is approved but then rejected when payment is posted."
