Does anyone here use one of the new "modular" helmets? I'm about to pull the trigger on an HJC SyMax 2 and am wondering how practical a FF is on a cruiser with windshield
I know they're vented, but how do those work with a windshield? (Duplicate post on the Cruiser Forum) Thanks for your help.........

Hacker, I got a Symax 2 and I'm not impressed. It's noisey and the ventilation sucks. For $280. I expected more. It fits great and I like the flip down tinted shield but I feel like I'm wearing a half helmet because of the noise.

Interestingly enough, I've researched all the reviews I could find on modular helmets and every single one of them mentions that modulars are indeed.....NOISY and they recommend ear plugs with their use. I just ordered my Symax 2 from NewEnough (209.95 btw

I love my modular (HJC), but it is noisy, on longer trips I use ear plugs, I'm still able to hear the engine noise and horns and such, that matters, but I love the conveince of the flip up to be able to talk when stopped, drink, eat and such. Plus as a woman, I love the better on/off ease as not to rip my hair out. It definately has an advantage in the summer by being able to vent it more when stopped.
Good luck in your decision..................
