I looked and, frankly, he's got one or two sizes in everything. I don't mind limited selection in items, but even within each item, there's just a size or two.

I've been thinking of getting something like that because apparently I am invisible to everyone on a bright red bike with a matching jacket.

I checked out the site and quite frankly there is sooooo much more out there.

Icon makes a military spec hi vis vest that i where over my shirt or jacket.

Take a look at all the vendors / TourMaster / Icon / Scorpion / First Gear /
Do some shopping around your town to get a real hands on some have very cheap materials that wont last .

I'm very happy with my hi viz vest from icon. It too comes on only 2 sizes though. I was worried about the fit but it works just fine.

Just a clarification on the military thing (since the first thing I saw on a page was an overkill-to me-neon yellow jacket). All the reg requires is that your upp garment be brightly colored during the day and reflective at night (reflective also carries over to inclement weather although I haven't seen it actually mentioned in the reg yet). It used to say contrasting instead of brightly colored, it changed recently. My jacket is a mix of bright red, white and black so it's both bright and contrasting and it has reflective piping (plus the white stripes shine out when a light falls on 'em). So you don' thave to wear neon colors or have 70% of your jacket reflective. If it's personal preference it's fine, just don't want incomplete information around. We already have enough issues with contracted security guards trying to keep us from entering the base because they assume we have to wear a vest just because so many did originally due to having dark/non-reflective gear.

Edit: The specific paragraph pertaining to it for any who might want to know:

"3.4.2.4.5. Garment and Motorcycle Visibility. Motorcycle riders will wear a brightly colored
outer upper garment during the day and a reflective upper garment during the night. Outer
upper garment shall be visible and not covered. Wearing a backpack is authorized if it has
brightly colored/reflective properties."

That depends on which service we're talking about and which base. The standard in the Army is a reflective belt or vest at all times (at least it is here at Bragg).

Ah, interesting. The part I quoted is from the general DoD reg. I stand corrected depending on local regs then.

well..the wife approved a leather jacket, I got it...I love it...
She followed my home the other night in the dark and has said I need some bling

I put some reflective strips on the helmet which makes a big difference, but I need an overcoat since I'll be riding home in the fog/dark for the next few months at least...

who uses a full jacket style over a reg coat?

this is what I'm thinking of now....

I love where hivisbiker.com quotes size ranges in the product description, but has fewer actual sizes available in the pulldown boxes when you want to select something. Guess this guy thinks cruiser guys top out at XL sizes.
No real contact info at this web site. I'd never order from this site.

I bought the High Viz Vega vest and wear it over my jacket. I can take it off in less than a minute if I want to.
