Talking Concealed carryh gear

Have any of you fine people had any need for a concealed carry vest? I don't know if the vests with the snap inside pockets would work or not. Any advice or experience is most appreciated.

I carry IWB between 4-5o'clock. I'm a little worried about laying it down and landing on it, but I figure if its on my body anywhere something could happen. I just go for comfortable and try to prevent people from hitting me.

+1 IWB on right hip. I've heard arguments about the danger of landing on it, ondon't think it's that big a deal. I know several folks that have used shoulder rigs, but they can get uncomfortable. Or, if you live in an open carry state, you could just do it this way. No experience with vests, though. You're gonna want something with a retention system, not just a pocket, or a pocket big enough to fit a pocket holster. Don't want your piece wandering around without your permission if you ever need it.

My Fox Creek Leather vest has a CC pocket inside. It's on the left which is fine as long as you don't need to access it while riding.

I've been trying to think of a solution to this problem as well. I normally carry a Kimber CDP Ultra in a Galco Combat Master at about 3:30 - 4:00 but I don't like the idea of having a large chunk of steel on my hip in case I lay the bike down. The problem is I don't want to carry it off of my body in a tank bag or backpack because then it is easier to loose control of it. I've been thinking about buying a small revolver and using an ankle holster but that only works if I'm not wearing my riding boots. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see if anybody has a method that would work for my situation.

A buddy of mine uses a velcor wrap around holster. He wears it around the chest, right at the point where your chest starts going to your belly. It has a pocet big enough for a compact Beretta 9, and you can have it sit anywhere you want since it's integrated with the belt. Belt's about 6 inches wide, but I don't know the name. I think he got itfrom the Gall's catalog.

Sounds like that might be something similar to a belly band. Those seem to be great for deep concealment but it can be really slow to draw the weapon in an emergency because you have to dig under a bunch of clothes.

I carry IWB as well, mostly... but, it's hard to grab if needed while on the bike, especially since it's under my jacket or vest. I really dislike crossdraw for normal carry, but have been thinking about one of those "gun vests" and experimenting with a cross draw configuration while riding.

Default Concealed carry

This is a good sight to find what you need for concealed carry plus a bunch of other stuff as well...

Jammin' Leather has a vest and I know they have a few jackets with the built-in CW holsters.

My leather jacket has an internal chest pocket that is perfect for my Springfield sub-compact 40. I am planning on getting a small .38 revolver that can go into a pants pocket for warm weather.

I know it was edited, but anyways its not so much that I carry it because I'm riding, it doesn't leave my side unless its illegal to have it.

I carry mine IWB but I hate it. When I road sportbikes I was constantly grabbing at it to make sure it was not sticking out of my jacket. I've been looking at shoulder holsters and concealment t-shirts lately but if we stop to eat and I take my jacket off it becomes exposed.
