Default Joe Rocket leather jacket

Ok, I got a Joe Rocket jacket from online. I actually went to stores around here first so I could try to give them some business. They only had motorcycle brand jackets..kawi, honda, etc. Anyway, the jacket is stiff as heck, not too comfortable. I've never had a riding leather jacket before...will it loosen up a bit or is that just how they are?
Thanks

Don't have one myself but I have tried a couple on in stores and the mass-produced ones seem to run a bit stiff at first. Hopefully it'll ease up a bit as it breaks in.

Its your choice of course, but I've used Mink oil on my leathers for years. Good quality leathers are usually a little stiff. If they are road leathers the mink oil not only hastens the softening process, but will help keep them from being damaged if you get caught in the rain. I started doing this with boots years ago and just tried it on a stiff jacket. It worked out nicely. Your choice.

I've used leather conditioner to soften up jackets.

The best thing for softening biker leathers is constant wear. My wife has even been wearing her new bike jacket round the house for the last couple of weeks to break it in.

Joe Rocket leathers are great. I have JR leather trousers and a JR UFO mesh jacket. They are both tough as old boots, but comfortable now that they are worn in.
