I will post some pics in a later today, Its a 2000 ZRX1100 still runs great, my freind wrecked it at 8712 miiles and put a swing arm on it, Gas tank has a pretty big dent in it. It also needs a back tire, this one has about 5k on it and is showing threads

As you can see its a Eddie Lawson Superbike Replica (ZRX1100)
The tank I would think needs replaced, it right horn and reflector, right mirror, a right bar end, paint, and stickers.. You can see the chain is lined up straight, there also isnt any weld cracks in the frame where the tree bolts up not even a paint crack from the crash The gas tank was a dent, my freind grinded the paint off in that area and was going to try to fix the dent with a stud gun, He said he was going to fix it and never got around to it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Not to step on you but that isn't an ELR. Eddie Lawson Replicas were only made in 1982. Not even an R2 which was made in 1983. A 1983 KZ1000R is a Superbike Replica. That's why 1982s bring big money and 1983s do not.
Presentation is everything, a prospective buyer won't be impressed with the rusty chain and corded tire. Good luck w/the sale. Bump. Last edited by elr658 : 03-24-2007 at 01:13 AM. |

I am aware that this is NOT a 1982 Kawasaki KZ1000R Eddie Lawson Replica that was based on the standard KZ1000J model, the R1 had the fuel tank, rear-set footpegs, oil cooler and wheels from the GPZ1100. A GPZ style fairing and lower handlebar were added along with a Kerker.
HOWEVER, (cut and pasted from their website)In 1999 Kawasaki released a ZRX1100 Eddie Lawson Replica which was modeled from the 1982 KZ1000R, The heart of the ZRX is its 1052cc motor which is based loosely on the ZX-11 mill. A similar process was used for the mid-'90s GPz1100 (ZX1100-E1), which combined a detuned ZX-11 motor with a budget chassis and GPz-style bodywork. A lower compression ratio (10.1:1 vs. 11.0:1) combines with less lumpy cams, more flywheel effect and smaller (36mm vs. 40mm) carbs to give the ZRX a flat torque curve. A gear-driven counterbalancer quells secondary vibration, and a five-speed transmission (one less cog than the ZX-11) is utilized. Cosmetically, the valve cover has been polished to emphasize the dual-overhead-cam layout, polished cylinder fins have been added (although water-cooling is used.) In 2001 the ZRX replicas were bored out to 1200cc,The last year they sold the Replicas in the US was in 2004

You neglected to mention the revalved front forks, increased rake, piggyback shocks, deleted centerstand, black chrome accents and the fact that Eddie won TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS on one. He posed on a ZRX in an ad.

Oh, yeah... I almost forgot, the chain isnt rusted up, the links in it are gold colored though the backtire is junk like you said.
Thanks for the bump, this post had a lot of veiws but little input Were you at least impresed with the video though the cameraman sucked? If you pause it just right you can see within the first couple second over 100mph and you can tell by the tach that I not really winding it out, There is another video on my photobucket account of me comming back
