Default Wanted: 94-97 ZX9 engine or 93-95 ZX7 engine

I just blew the engine in my 94 zx7, so i'm looking for a new engine. I'd really like to do the zx9 swap, but i'll settle for a zx7 engine. Please email me at modvfr@hotmail.com if you have either engine for sale. Thanks, Marshal

Default Already Done

I have a 95 ZXR750-L3 with a ZX900BE... engine fitted. If anyone wants any pics or measurements feel free to email.

Only problems I have apart from the hideous black/purple/pink colour scheme and some effect on the steering is that the exhaust (stamped KH1 M 037) has rotted/blown out. It appears to have been a 750 one so I was going to try and fit a stainless replacement. As the bike seems to have a few spots where the carburation isn't perfect I wanted to fit a ZX9R one to see if that helped but even emailing manufacturers with details & dimensions just gets me stock replies.

If anyone knows about exhaust interchangeability any info greatly received

Please email me any pictures of this swap. Did you have to change any wiring? I have a 91 zx7 and I am looking at possible swaps and a 9 motor would work out perfect.

Thanks
Todd

Will try and get time in the week to pull the tank off so I can get you some decent pics of the wiring.

Have got a new exhaust on it now, a Micron 4:2:1 for B series ZX9R fits the bike perfectly. Only pain is it's not stainless and the paint has burnt off the headers already.

Didn't bother trying to squeeze the bike down the narrow alleyway I have to use to get to my garage Friday night and went to go out on it yesterday (as you can see from pics is used all year) and right hand suspension legs oil all over the floor and wheel. There's a perfect vertical cut up into the seal looks like some clown had shoved a small blade or sccrewdriver up there.

So am looking for some fork legs now as I've been told you need special tools to take the forks apart. Anyone know if similar year ZX9R ones will fit cos then the spring rate should be right for the engines weight. Looks like the 9Rs went back to normal forks from the C series on?
