I have never seen any of it around here, Dave. In Humboldt County (near Winnemucca, Nevada) there seems to be a lot of it.

It's funny that you took the time to shine a flashlight down there!

Nice rig there Ken!

I know what you mean about how the thing feels like a stick shift going down hills as the 4-wheeler does the same thing. Helps keep it under control on those steep hills, etc.

You didn't run over any jackrabbits...turtles...snakes...lizards...birds.. .did you?

I was surprised since it is the first belt drive system purchased. That compression system really does work.

Didn't run over any critters, but I did climb that mountain over looking Fort Churchill ... piece of cake

I really don't know what the mileage is on it, but suspect it will run about 100+ miles to a tank. A lot depends on how heavy the pedal is pushed

Thanks, but have a couple of Jerry cans in the shop. I could use some 1.750 steel tubing though

The shaft in the article is only 3 miles from that in the pictures above.
So the guy was there for 2 months before you dug him out? That must have been awful.

He was a decomp. We couldn't get his right leg free during recovery and left it in the mine shaft.

He had set off a charge and started scaling (knocking fractured rock from the walls and ceiling) ... he knocked off to much at one time

So I take it that it was a closed casket ceremony?

I'm sorry, did I just say that?
