I was able to do a few small things on the Bighorn the last week or so. I had taken the rear fender off and found all the rubber bushings were in really poor condition. I have found a bushing that is readily available, cheap and can be modified to replace the old bushings. I used a Motormite part number 49450 wiper motor bushing. Cut about 1/8 of an inch off of each end of the bushing and you now have a very good replacement for the old ones.

hey Bob, the hip is doing ok painwise. I am scheduled for surgery Monday, to install get a new one. I'll not be working on the bike for a while after that, but once I recover enough, I should have it finished, probably before I get released to go back to the job. I'm pretty eager to get this done so I can do osme of the things that I haven't been able to do for a long time, like walk without pain.

Ok, I have mended from the hip replacement. The 'Horn is back together, I dont have pictures yet, but I will put some up when I take a few. I haven't done the paint on the tank and fenders yet. I also am in need of a lighting coil. I can't get the headlight to burn and I show no voltage coming from the coil. After that, I just need to fine tune the carb and get some new tires on her and we will be ready to go riding.
