Thanks for the help folks.
I'd really like to try the boil in lemon juice idea just so I could see the look on the wifes face when she comes into the kitchen and sees a set of carbs in her favorite roasting pot. That'ed be funny... |

Just wondering if it's the mild acid in the lemon juice that does the cleaning, and if white vinegar might do as well or better. I've used vinegar in the past for cleaning zamac before painting.
