Btw...you 'old timers' need to start your own thread in the 'off topic' section.
We can talk about the 70s, pintos, or whatever.

I knew they were not American... I was pointing out that Disco was pretty much an American thing... and threw in the Abba thing in case anyone was thinking of mentioning them.

I'm rather fond of most of my time through the early 70's. I graduated from HS, some great music was released and many memories were made. The last half wasn't quite as much fun (at 23 I joined the military and was overseas for most of it) but I don't regret any of it and there were still some good times. As for musicians and politicians, we suffer through things like punk rock and the farmer and move on. Those are just examples and not necessarily of the era but you get the idea of what I mean I think.

P.S. Yes they originated in Sweden.

Anyway, thank you for the very informative replies. It may sound superficial, but I am a 'buy american' kinda guy that happens to be in love with his kawasaki and I was really hopin' the guy was right (just to be able to say that I own an American made motorcycle).
If you or anyone else here on the forums can delve a little deeper into the story (of Kawasaki selling out, so to speak, and setting up shop in Nebraska and Missouri), I would appreciate hearing it.
Thanks again,

Mitsubishi was working with Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge. Such as the Colt was a re-badged Mitsu Mirage, Dodge Stealth/Mitsu 3000GT etc

My Mother-In-Law had the Mitsu Mirage. It needed a tie rod end, from Mitsubishi it was $60, from Dodge it was $25. Same part so I used the "Americanized" one...
