That would be Meguro, an old japanese brand that Kawasaki bought before they released bikes under their own name. Probably worth saving that one if it's anything left of it.

interesting bikes but miserable to work on . even if you seal all the parting lines they will leak through case porosity. don't let me discourage you just beware that these are different and not in the least intuitive to work on .

Oh don't get me wrong . I think the "W" is cool as ....
I just remember having to rebuild the valve gear several times with out proper replacement parts . I think the old horse is worth feeding . Who knows ? You may want to ride it some day . As far as leaks go I did specify (did I ? ) that the casting quality was a bit spotty and what you may think of as a parting line leak may be porosity in the case . Do also beware of ISO threads . Some (don't remember where) appear to me metric but are a little different . Don't force anything . Rather than use blue loctite on case and cover bolts I used clear nail polish since I was in the engine all the time . Al ittle on the threads and a bit under the head of the bolt went a long way towards slowing leaks and retaining bolds . I also got real good at making gaskets My "W" found it's way into the hands of a someone whose father used to own one . He hasn't abused the mechanical and has made great strides with the cosmetic . I feel like I gained another acquaintance rather than lost and old and quirky friend . ~kop

Very cool you passed the bike on to another loving home. And I never heard the trick of using clear nail polish. Why that instead of Loctite?
