Default Oil Leak

I just found an oil leak coming from where the shifter comes out of the transmission. However, in looking at the parts diagram for the gear shifter I don't see where there is an o-ring behind it so what's keeping it from leaking in the first place.

The Engine Covers diagram will show an oil seal.
I believe you can replace it without removing the cover - not sure though.

Usually you can take a pick or something similar and remove them without pulling the cover.
