Default Questions for GPz750 owners

I've had my bike for years, ride it like crazy. I have always had two issues that I have decided I want to check on, see if all are the same or if mine is just different:

1) The clutch pull is just crazy hard. New cable did not fix it, and really don't like how it connects up at the bottom end. Is the clutch pull hard for all, and could someone post a pic of the connection to see if I have had something wrong all of these years? My left hand is twice the size of the right! I know the PO changed a clutch, maybe he installed race springs, but I cannot see a whole lot on the Kawasaki website that tells me what a good real life pic would.

2) Full pull idle seems high to me: what RPM are you spinning at with a cold full pull? I read how to adjust, never have, just wondering what it should be.

TIA.

Fast Idle on full warmup is around 2500-3000 rpm, I try and keep it down around 2000 by easing the choke in.

If your clutch is that hard to pull, then you have a problem somewhere, I'd check the springs first.

My clutch is firm, but not hard to pull. Now my buddy has a Victory Vegas, and says he dosen't know how I can pull in the clutch on the GPz. He finds it incredibly stiff. His is so easy to pull in, but I find mine pretty effortless as well. Maybe I'm just used to it.

I'm with steell, and ease the choke "half" to keep it at 2000rpm on warmup. I usually start on full choke, give it 20 seconds then go to half, which brings me down to about 2000rpm. When the engine is fully warm, and no chock, I have my idol set for 1100 rpm.

GPZ,
I would suggest that you go to the Kawasaki web page and then dig for the parts diagrams. You will see the clutch assembly and you should be able to tell how the parts go together. Hard to imagine that something is assembled wrong but the PO may not be that mechanically inclined. Here is the link: http://www.kawasaki.com/OwnerInfo/ You will find the diagrams under the owner information which is located on the left hand side of the page when it loads. Just follow the prompts and you will find what you need. I would suspect that it is the springs. Easy to change out if you want...
Good luck!!
