I don't believe the 750 four LTD seat will interchange with the 750E because the LTD has a two piece seat while the 750E is a one piece. So, I guess the 750E seat probably won't fit the 650 CSR either.
Might be able to adapt it to fit though |

Actually, a couple of the Ltds have a one piece seat that's the same as the CSR. As a matter of fact, I've got an 82 Ltd-4 seat on my bike that I recovered this year w a 650-CSR Travelcade cover. Seat cover stuff

Well I recovered my seat today. I picked up a hand operated stapler at wally world yesterday and will be taking it back because it could not penetrate the plastic seat pan. My brother has an electric one so I used it and it is a good thing he has a heat gun or I never would have gotten it done. A flat seat would be no problem but mine has a nice dip so I had to heat and stretch, tack, reheat, restretch, retack. Now I know why that link says to have help when you staple the cover on. Working alone it took me about an hour and a half. But it turned out alright.
I went with a new piece of material but used the stock foam as it was in decent shape with only a small gash up near the nose. I picked up some foam to fill that spot in but left it out because I could not get it to lay right working alone. All in all it turned out pretty well and one guy asked me if I got a new seat. I will post pictures later as I did not have a camera handy. I do have a pic or two of the before that I took when I first got the bike. So will show a before and after. And herk, I looked at your work on the link and do not envy you having to deal with a step like your seat has. Mine was bad enough and I decided I will only do another one if it is mine or if it is a flat seat. Oh and the comment about recovering a seat or installing tires...well I did both on this bike. The back tire was actually easier than the front and I was dreading it more. But it being wider made it easier to work. Did the balancing too thanks to a youtube video by scudman. Dude has been around a long time and knows his stuff.

If you really want to get in to changing/mounting your own tires, here is a writeup that some of you may be interested in. Be advised, there are lots of pics and text in this link and if you have a slow net connection it will be a slow loading page.

That looks pretty good Mike. I thought my connection was a bit slow (dsl) but it loaded in under 5 seconds. I have done my share of tire changing from bicycle to dirt bikes, street bikes, and cages. Always good to see what someone else is doing as I am always interested in picking up pointers.
Long gone are the days of using a bumper jack to break down an auto tire for me. Haven't seen one of them in many a moon. And the kids say wwwhat? . ![]()

Not bad for a DIY job. I'm hoping to get some ride improvements done to mine this winter. Want to get the seat redone and try some of that memory foam and a gel pad added. I'm thinking about having them build up the height of the driver section of the seat which would give me more leg room. Also going to look at getting new progressive fork springs and shocks and I need to finish the mount brackets for my luggage rack/back rest.

FYI.....I have an 83 750-4 LTD shaft drive parts bike. Most everything except the seat and some electrical components.
