Need help!!!!!

Hey guys I recently bought a 1977 kz 650 b1 and started to do some work on it, I installed a Dyna S ignition and what do you know it started, after trying to fine tune it, it would not start...... I have gas flow, spark and the motor turns over.... I thought maybe the timing was off so again i installed the roints system back......... it still wont start I had help from my father in law who owns a 78 kz ltd 1000 and he is just baffled it made no sense to him why the bike would not start with the motor turns over, it has gas flow and spark....... any ideas?????????? If your ignition advance unit is the same as the one on my 76 900 then the lobe will go on in two different positions. If you pick the wrong one the timing will be off 180 degrees. I'd check that & try new spark plugs.
