1980 KL250 A3 Pic and info request

I recently acquired a 1980 KL250 that needs quite a bit of work. Through my travels of looking at schematics and replacement part sources I noticed that every wiring diagram for my bike shows a battery. Also, I have found battery trays and tool kit boxes for sale. My dilemma is that my bike doesn't have either so I haven't any clue as to where the the 2 parts go or how they are mounted. If anyone has any information and/or pictures of the part(s) and their locations it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
