I have a 1975 Kawasaki F11-B, I am having problems finding info on Strader Engineering. I found this on ebay and have a few questions before I buy it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...keTra ck=true Is this exhaust an after-market part that was made for my bike in the 1970s? It just looks alot different than my stock exhaust does and I want to make sure it will fit. I really don't care if it makes my bike louder, as long as it will let the engine open up and give me a few hp. Here is a pic of my stock exhaust, it looks way different from this Strader exhaust.
Thanks for any info, ~George ![]()

well, I can't vouch for whether or not it will fit, but I can say that it will give you a good kick in the butt for power. I don't know when they started making them, but I don't think it was until the 80's. It looks different because its an expansion chamber style exhaust designed specifically for a two stroke engine. It utilizes a phenomenon of two stroke engines to vastly improve operating characteristics. Check out this site, it explains it in very good detail.

It should fit, if the seller was provided the correct fitment info that came with pipe, I've got an F7 with a bassani pipe. These pipe where in fact expansion chambers, that explains why it looks differant and does not follow the contours of the bike like the stock pipe does. Most all of these old pipes we see today are left overs from back when our bikes where new, in 1974 as a young teenager I had a 72 G4, and was able to get a bassani pipe from the local Kawasaki dealer. If you don't care about the bike no longer being stock I'd say go for it, you would however be at the mercy of whatever information the seller was given when he found the pipe. The pipe looks to me like it would fit, if you notice the clamp at the is adjustable, they are getting harder to find as time passes, about a year ago I found a Strader pipe for the G series bikes, I grabbed it up as fast as I could, even though I have no plans to use it on either of the G's I've got now, But you just never know what the next old bike you find will be, It just might need that pipe.

Oh yeah, it will make the bike louder no doubt, you can repack the silencer as needed to keep it down as much as possible, Dennis Kirk dot com used to offer the glass to repack them. It's not a bad idea to bump your main jet up a size or two, and do something with your air filter to open up the other side of it, all that room to let it out aint much good if it can't get in in the first place. Good Luck with it.

Well I bought it and I can't wait to get it installed (I think it will fit). After I put it on I will keep an eye on the spark plug to see if I will have to change my main jet. Thanks for the help guys.
