greetings all,
I have recently acquired a nice 1980 kawasaki kz1000 beautiful bike and beautiful ride but have ran into a problem when i was out with it yesterday about 5 blocks from home she died on me. Had absolutley no juice left in the battery lights when dead engine dead and couldnt even kick start her. after having to walk her 5 blocks home i was wondering if any of you have any clue as to what could be wrong. I have a degree in auto mechanics and am just starting to learn about bike maintenance and troubleshooting but have yet to gain enough knowledge on motorcycle parts to figure this out any help would be much appreciated |

I used to work on cars, but Motorcycles are much easier!
Here is a page that has saved my butt a couple of times. It is a great fault finding chart, pretty typical for most motorcycles, to diagnose exactly what is going on in the charging system. https://www.electrosport.com/electro...t_finding.html |
