heres the bike , the engine needs rebuilding but for $200.00 i dont think i could go wrong. it has a vance and hanes pipe and k+n filters and new front tire.

WOW!! You made a sweet deal there for sure!! That will be one fine (and fast) ride when you get the engine tended to. But if you're like me and lose interest or motivation easily, you can always part it out on eBay and realize your investment four-fold or maybe even more. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

so i took the engine apart, it has bad bearings and thats all, the pistons are good , no bent or broken parts, so replace them, maybe the oil pump and rings and should be good to go.

Definitely the oil pump/pickup! I need to do that with my '81 550. Starving the engine of oil is a very bad thing.
