I have an '86 zl600. When I got the bike she ran great above 2500 rpm all the way to way to fast. The problem was she wouldnt idle and when it got warm (after about 20-30 mins) it would die like running out of gas tried everything and finally had certified mech pull carbs dissasemble and clean completely. the low end circuits were completely plugged. he cleaned them up reassembled them synced them adjusted the floats etc. wwhen I first start it up and ride itr rides ok for a while as long as I slowly build up rpm and dont try and haul ***, it idles great starts right up but when I whack the throttle it dies out cannot take getting on the gas. and stalls out all the time like running out of gas. Sometimes I can keep it going by playing with the petcock back and forth to prime but then it just lurches it wont run smooth. oh and all the calif emissiopns have been removed. (canister separator etc but the carbs are still vented.) Can anyone help pleeeeaassseee. Sorry about the length

This will help you understand the weak points of the fueltap. Go get a rebuild kit from Kawasaki. Same issue with my 84 Ninja.
